Le-Ru Telecom Chooses Airspan for Its 3.65 GHz WiMAX Network in the U.S.

Airspan Networks Inc., a leading worldwide provider of WiMAX broadband wireless access networks, announced today that Le-Ru Telecom of Missouri, has chosen Airspan to supply HiperMAX base stations and related CPEs in the 3.65 GHz band in the U.S. Airspan will supply its WiMAX equipment through its U.S. channel partner, Stutler Technologies. This announcement follows the recent FCC approval for Airspan's HiperMAX base station in the 3.65GHz band in the United States, the first MIMO-enabled WiMAX solution to receive such certification.

Le-Ru Telecom offers telephone services and various Internet-related services as well as Digital Video Service in the rural Missouri region. Le-Ru Telecom will use Airspan's 3.65GHz WiMAX solution to provide these services to its wireless customer base.

"Le-Ru Telecom has been a long standing and valued customer for Airspan and we are pleased to work with them as they migrate their network to 3.65 GHz WiMAX," said Amit Ancikovsky, Airspan's Vice President & General Manager, Americas. "This initiative underscores the momentum we are beginning to see with existing, new and potential customers as they look closely at our 3.65GHz products."

The 3.65GHz solution adds to Airspan's product lines for the U.S., which already includes products that operate in the 700MHz through 5GHz frequency bands.
