Kron Telekomünikasyon İstanbul’da IPTV Ar-GE Merkezi Kuruyor
Kron Telekomünikasyon A.Ş. bugün yaptığı açıklamada İstanbul’da Kasım ayında faaliyete geçecek olan IPTV Araştırma ve Geliştirme Merkezi kuracağını duyurdu.
Açılacak olan merkezde Türkiye, Balkanlar, Doğu Avrupa, Ortadoğu, Kafkaslar ve Orta Asya’daki ülkelerde kullanılmak üzere yeni teknoloji çözümleri ve yeni servislerle ilgili yazılımlar geliştirilecek. Cisco ve dijital içerik dağıtımında uzman birimi Scientific Atlanta bu merkezi teknoloji ve teknik uzmanlığı ile destekleyecek.
Baş döndürücü bir hızla gelişen ve yaygınlaşan genişbant teknolojileri tüm dünyada servis sağlayıcılara IPTV gibi, IP üzerinden katma değerli servislerin yaygınlaştırılmasında ve müşterilere ulaştırılmasında büyük bir avantaj sağlıyor. IPTV teknolojisi, TV yayınlarının bir STB (Set-top-box/Set-üstü-alıcısı) vasıtasıyla izlenebilmesini sağlıyor. Bu teknoloji ile müşteriler, VoD (Video on Demand / İsteğe Bağlı Video), ilgi gruplarına göre yayınlar ve kişiye özel reklamlar gibi uygulamalar ile istedikleri yayını istediklerini zaman izleyebilme olanağına kavuşuyorlar.
Bu merkezde Kron, IPTV çözümlerinin mimari tasarımı, IPTV ürünlerinin dizaynı, geliştirilmesi ve entegrasyonu, yönetim yazılım sistemleri ve müşteriye özel servislerin tasarımı gibi konularda faaliyetlerde bulunacak.
Kron Telekomünikasyon A.Ş.’nin Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı Lütfi Yenel, merkezin kurulmasında Cisco ile yapılan işbirliğinin Türkiye’nin bilgi ve iletişim teknolojileri için bir şans olduğunu vurgulayarak şöyle dedi :
Türkiye, bilgi ve enformasyon teknolojilerinin geliştirilmesinde büyük bir potansiyele sahip. Biz Türkiye’nin IPTV konusunda lider ülkelerden birisi olacağına inanıyoruz.
Cisco Türkiye Genel Müdürü Erkan Akdemir ise şunları söyledi :
Cisco, Kron’un Türkiye’de kurduğu IPTV Merkezi’ne destek vermekten büyük mutluluk duymaktadır. Böylesi bir merkezin açılıyor olması, Türkiye’nin teknolojiyi sadece uyarlayan değil bu teknolojileri üreten bir ülke olması yolunda ciddi bir atılımdır.
