Tele2 receives 3G license in Norwayfor $8.5 mln

Swedish telecom group Tele2 AB said the network company Mobile Norway AS, which it co-owns with Network Norway, has been allocated a Norwegian 3G license. The license fee, which will be recorded in Dec 2007, is around 47 mln nkr ($8.5 mln). Phase one of the joint venture's build-out of Norway's third GSM network is ongoing and the 3G license will further enhance the network, Tele2 said, adding that it plans to launch commercial services on the jointly owned network in early 2010.
