CNNmoney: Vodafone to pay up to 560 mln euros for remaining stakes in Arcor
Vodafone Group Plc. is to pay up to 560 million euros for the remaining stakes in German subsidiary Arcor, Financial Times Deutschland reported, citing negotiation sources.
Vodafone will offer 300 million to 400 million euros to Deutsche Bahn AG., which owns a 18 percent stake in Arcor, and 140 million euros to 160 million to Deutsche Bank AG., which holds 8 percent. The deal is expected to complete by the beginning of May at the latest.
Employee representatives assume that a complete integration of Arcor into Vodafone will have an significant impact on job security at Arcor's headquarters in Eschborn, near Frankfurt.
