Jajah can turn iPod Touch into iPhone

The announcement was made on Thursday by the company that also with other low-cost Internet calling applications such as Skype. In its announcement, Jajah said that Touch users would be allowed to call and text messages using a voice over IP network via a new application instead of a carrier's cellular network. Jajah application, the latest version of the iPod Touch, a microphone headset, and a Wi-Fi connection is all that is needed to start making calls.

It should be noted that the Jajah service can reduce calling costs up to 98 percent, and requires to be connected through a Wi-Fi network limits where it can be used.

The company is mulling to sell the application as a "white label" service, which means that the wireless operators and non-wireless operators who provide the service under their own brand instead of a standalone Jajah application. The providers can license the application. It has also been learnt that service providers might offer the application for $10 a month.
